venlafaxine sleeping too much lexapro

I was unable to find anyone else who said they slept like this on it. I'm curious why you changed the time. Was supposed to do 10 for a week then move to 20. All day yesterday I pretty much slept other than getting up to eat and go to the bathroom. If you take too much venlafaxine tablets, USP, call your healthcare provider or poison control center right away, or get emergency treatment. All medicines have side effects and withdrawal if not weaned off properly, but this one really sounds drastic.

I've been on 10 mg of lexapro for about three weeks now after a rlly horrible month on Effexor. I'm only on 5mg.Hi McNeery, is there any improvement in staying awake with the medications? And today is my 2nd day being on them and I've noticed I'm not so tired through out the day being on them. I now take it between 6-7pm which seems to make the daytime better & i sleep well though i want to go on sleering lon after the kids have woken me up. I took it for 3 years. I take it at about 7:00 at night so by the time I'm in bed I am ready to zonk out because it does make me a little sleepy still. I have had ADHD for years and started lexapro about 5 weeks ago, I did not even flash on the interaction between the 2 meds, I see 2 different doctors. Don't forget that many of the SSRI and SNRI anti-depressants are FDA approved to treat anxiety disorders such as SAD, GAD, PAD...etc. If anything I'm too hyper most of the time! I hallucinate at night off Lexapro and I still do on it but it seems to be less. It is a hazard for me to drive. I hope this helped some.

They should always consult with there physician if they are still having issues with the medication. A glass of wine or OTC sleep aid helps to go to sleep and stay that way. Maybe I just don't need 10mg. I had problems with insomnia with Lexapro yet no insomnia with Celexa... strange as they are both basically the same drug with some changes to the Lexapro.

I think I am finally feeling back to normal today hopefully and going to try Celexa next (per the Dr). A guide to 10 common phobias. Dosage is important. I haven't started taking it yet, but it might be something to ask your doc about. I started taking it at night with the 5 mg and also added in a little benadryl.

Not sure yet if it's helping my I too recently started taking lexapro,not sure if it's helping or not yet.I seem to be better,on the other hand I still experience mood swings snd,I'm so tired all I want t do is lay d own and yawn all day..at least I had energy before taking this..I recently started taking lexapro also and can barely stay awake at work.

I also have Adult ADHD and am taking 10mg Adderall. I was drowsy Friday then couldnt' sleep well Fri pm so switched to Saturday pm to take it. The side effects in the first three weeks can be difficult... the headaches are intense.
